Rap Is Realer Than Ben Shapiro
Let me start off by saying this: I think Ben Shapiro is an idiot. If you don’t agree, that’s great! You can continue to support him and stop reading here. I certainly don’t need or require your attention further.
Before you decide that I might be being too critical, consider that this is a man that believes rape victims should be able to describe the genitalia of their attacker if they want to be taken seriously. This certainly isn’t my idea of a good person, at all. If you think I’m lying, here you go:
I wanted to get that into the open, because, frankly — I don’t really want to associate with anyone who likes this guy. As someone who has argued on Twitter before, I am aware of how useless it is to go back and forth about the credibility of certain influencers.
This article is about Ben Shapiro, and his claim that “rap music isn’t real music”, which certainly has the kind of racist twinge to it that might’ve garnered headlines back in the 1990s, when Dan Quayle tried to make gangster rap a national issue.
