Ok Boomer: Why Bob Lonsberry Is A Moron

There are plenty of people that will suggest that I am being too harsh.

I am going to respectfully disagree.

In one of the worst tweets I have seen this year, a man by the name of Bob Lonsberry, has compared “boomer” to the “N” word, which is (I hope this is obvious) arguably the most offensive word that one can utter in the English language.

Here is what he said in the tweet:

“Boomer” is the n-word of ageism. Being hip and flip does not make bigotry ok, nor is a derisive epithet acceptable because it is new.

What’s The Deal With Bob?

Bob is a white male, which might not surprise anyone. His tweet suggests that anyone who uses the word “boomer” is practicing ageism, which is a strange claim. After all, there are plenty of articles — whether related to business or politics — that are forced to refer to the age of an individual, in order to advance a certain point or describe a trend.

He has nine children. That’s great for Bob — I have no children. I don’t think this is relevant. He is also 60 years old, and I am 33, for anyone who feels like this information is necessary as well.

One look at his Twitter bio reveals that he is religious and is a member of the NRA.
