Many emcees are underrated, but King Los might be one of the most feared lyrical emcees that never really got his just due. There are several various freestyles that have reminded hip-hop fans that real lyricism exists, and it should be noted that emcees such as Black Thought and Pharaohe Monch are still active.

Of course, we should also recognize that two of the most successful hip-hop artists alive — J.Cole, and Kendrick Lamar — still believe in the power of lyrics.

King Los doesn’t have that same kind of success, however. In fact, it was rumored that he was the one berated by P.Diddy in “Nobody”, a Rick Ross song that interpolated Biggie’s “You’re Nobody (‘Till Somebody Kills You”).

He left Bad Boy Records, and many believed that the rant may have played a role in his departure. However, one thing is for sure — Los hasn’t lost a step. In fact, what’s the opposite of losing a step? Baltimore-born Los may have learned a whole new dance.
